Although we create our whole world completely individually and independently, we are still fully in the hands of God. Knowing this fact brings humility as well as can cause frustration. We have all, especially in the past tense, gone through a great test of trust in Spirit, the Universe, divine providence... We can try to impose our will on the world and face disappointment and anger when things don't go our way. But equally we can surrender with confidence, let things happen and watch what is communicated to us and where we are led. There can be a powerful connection with surrender.
ONDŘEJ SMEYKAL is a Czech professional didgeridoo player. With his unique and idiosyncratic expression, he is discovering new unexplored areas of didgeridoo playing and pushing the sonic possibilities of the instrument several orders of magnitude further, thus posing a great challenge to contemporary performers. With his concept he has thus created his own category. It highlights the rich creative possibilities of this instrument. The maximum use of the breathing fund, the work of the diaphragm, the mimic and articulatory muscle groups together with the huge rhythmic potential of the didgeridoo make the ordinary leaky branch a kind of small chamber orchestra in Ondrej's performance. The special charm of Smeykal's live performance thus evokes in many listeners a strong impression of the representation of multiple players.
