This summer, the Castle Hill was full of visitors, and not only thanks to the World of Cubes exhibition, which was undoubtedly the most successful exhibition project on the Castle Hill. Over 46 days, an incredible 8,870 visitors visited the playful world of Lego in the Castle Riding Hall. Another important project was also very popular - an artistic intervention in the crypt of the Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Litomyšl called Face. The exhibition of an ancient Romanesque Madonna and Child and its unconventional modern installation designed by architect Josef Pleskot has attracted almost 3,000 admirers to the crypt of the Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross since June. The same number of visitors has also been attracted by other paid exhibitions, i.e. Angels on the Hill and the viewpoint on the church facade. The increasingly popular Litomyšl interactive children's programme was literally under siege throughout the summer holidays. There are no exact statistics on the number of visitors to this attraction, as it is largely free, but we can estimate that the number of visitors was at least three times higher than the record number of visitors to the World of Bricks exhibition. The revitalised Castle Hill was thus really alive this summer and we sincerely hope that next summer season will be no less successful.
