LITOMYŠL / The Festival of Building Blocks has already attracted more than 3,000 visitors. The World of Blocks exhibition attracts unique building and collectible items. The proof of this is that the author of the exhibition, Petr Šimr, has entered his creations into the Book of Czech Records and Curiosities three times. The faces of the largest exhibition of its kind in the Czech Republic are the lego Batman and Zrzka building blocks, who are trying to bring the exhibition to life through social media and draw children and parents into the world of games.
More than 200 visitors attended the opening ceremony of the World of Bricks exhibition on 13 July. Visitors could admire the largest unique exhibition of its kind in the Czech Republic. The author of the exhibition, Petr Šimr, has thus entered his creations into the Book of Czech Records and Curiosities three times. He will enrich the book with the following records:
The largest collection of products of the Semily Metalworks, which includes 80 exhibits.
The largest collection of Seva kits. The commissioner counted 115 pieces of kits that were commonly available on the market and in addition he managed to collect 13 kits that were only as a prototype and never went on sale.
The last record is that Petr Šimr managed to build 93 of his own kits from Seva.
The mascots Batman and Zrzka have been a great success of the whole exhibition so far. The dolls are coming to life on social media, where they continuously post search and guessing contests for valuable prizes. Parents with children can win tickets, kits and the last big summer guessing contest is a game for a weekend stay in Litomyšl worth CZK 7,000. The competition is posted on FB Zámecké návrší. The one who correctly guesses the number of Seva cubes that Batman and Zrzka poured into the glass container can win 2 nights in the newly opened UNESCO apartment and 4 pcs of United tickets to the World of Cubes. The contest runs until August 15, 2019. For contest terms and conditions and more information, visit the Castle Hill FB and website www.legolitomysl.cz.
"The absolute novelty of this season is the pooled ticket, which will get you into several places on the Castle Hill for a bargain price. The ticket is valid for the World of Bricks exhibition, it will take you to the Angels on the Mound exhibition and to the highest vantage point in the city in the Piarist church. It also gets you a ticket for a shortened tour of the castle, which is adapted for children. You will also receive a second free coffee at the Café el lamíno on the Castle Hill upon presentation of this ticket. Tickets can be purchased for CZK 170 at the exhibition box office, the Piarist church and information centres in Litomyšl. It is therefore definitely worth going to Litomyšl for the whole day," explains David Zandler.
More than 3,000 visitors have already visited the World of Cubes exhibition with 2 large games rooms. It is open daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm until 17 September 2019.
